About Peter's Port Holiday Home

Perfect for families or mid-sized groups seeking a quiet coastal getaway, this Black Point holiday home offers a beachfront experience that is truly hard to beat. Sleeping up to eight guests and positioned in one of the most peaceful pockets of Black Point on the Yorke Peninsula, Peter's Port places you just steps from the shoreline — closer than almost any other holiday accommodation on the Yorke Peninsula.

Black Point is known for its calm, crystal-clear waters, gentle tides, and soft sand stretching along a protected bay. It's one of South Australia's premier coastal destinations, loved for safe swimming, excellent crabbing, and some of the Yorke Peninsula's best land-based and boat-based fishing. Here, the pace slows, the days feel longer, and time is measured by the rise and fall of the tide.

This home is designed for groups who enjoy making their own fun and embracing the sun-drenched, carefree lifestyle that Black Point is famous for. Settle into the wide waterfront verandah, fire up the BBQ, and let the kids drift between the sand and the sea while you relax with uninterrupted views. For those who love to cast a line, the surrounding coastline offers countless fishing spots — from shallow crabbing grounds to deeper channels full of local species.

Inside, the home is comfortable, functional, and equipped for easy holiday living. You'll find a self-contained kitchen with everything needed for larger groups, including dual fridges and freezers, a dishwasher, and generous bench space. The living area offers room to gather, along with a TV for quiet nights in. The property includes three well-appointed bedrooms, one bathroom, and two toilets for convenience. Reverse-cycle air conditioning ensures year-round comfort.

This is a no-fuss beachfront retreat that focuses on the essentials: space, simplicity, and unbeatable coastal views from sunrise to sunset. It's not extravagant or styled for show — it's designed for comfort, relaxation, and long days spent outdoors.

Peter's Port can comfortably accommodate larger groups; however, all overnight guests must be declared and approved prior to arrival.

A minimum stay of two nights applies, though many guests soon wish they had booked a little longer.

The property is fully self-contained, but guests will need to bring groceries and personal essentials. Pillows and quilts are supplied. Sheets, towels, and tea towels can be brought from home or arranged at an extra cost.

The ideal beachfront shack — everything we hoped for.

"We've stayed at Black Point many times and always admired this shack, so we were thrilled to finally book it. It exceeded expectations. The place was immaculate, the kitchen impressively stocked, and having access to the shed with crab rakes, kayaks, and more was a huge bonus. The host was responsive and helpful, which made the stay even better. We even caught fish off the balcony at high tide — a highlight of the trip."

Hands down one of the best spots on the peninsula.
